Pre-launch waitlist

Privacy Notice

Effective date: Pre-launch draft.

ChapterSprout is a parent-gated creative writing platform in development. This pre-launch page is for parents, legal guardians, educators, and other adult supporters who want updates about ChapterSprout before launch.

Please do not submit information about a child through this waitlist. Do not include a child's name, email address, phone number, exact birthdate, school name, address, precise location, contact details, writing samples, or other personal information in the waitlist form or optional comment field.

This notice is a conservative working draft for the pre-launch waitlist only and requires owner, legal, and privacy review before public launch.

What we collect on the pre-launch waitlist

  • your email address;
  • broad child age range or audience-interest information, if you choose to provide it;
  • your main interest in ChapterSprout;
  • any optional comment you choose to submit;
  • signup source information, such as campaign, referral, or UTM information; and
  • basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and debug the waitlist page.

How we use waitlist information

  • send ChapterSprout launch, early access, and product update emails;
  • understand parent and educator interest before launch;
  • improve our landing page, messaging, and product planning;
  • respond to questions or feedback; and
  • protect, secure, and operate the waitlist.

Children and the waitlist

The waitlist is not for children to use directly. ChapterSprout is being designed around parent-managed accounts and child Author profiles. Children should not submit information to the waitlist.

If we learn that child personal information was submitted through the pre-launch waitlist, we may delete it or ask a parent/legal guardian for instructions.

Sharing

We do not sell waitlist information or use waitlist information for targeted advertising. We may share limited waitlist information with service providers that help us operate the waitlist, send emails, host the site, secure the service, or manage product communications.

Marketing emails

If you join the waitlist, we may email you about ChapterSprout updates, launch timing, early access, surveys, or related product news. Marketing emails will include a way to unsubscribe. Important transactional or administrative messages may still be sent when needed.

Cookies and analytics

This draft assumes the pre-launch landing page does not use tracking pixels, behavioral advertising, or child-directed tracking. If analytics, cookies, pixels, or similar technologies are added later, this notice must be updated before launch to explain what is used and why.

Data retention

We keep waitlist information only as long as reasonably needed for pre-launch communications, product validation, security, and ordinary business records. Exact deletion timelines require legal, provider, backup, and infrastructure review before final public policy language is published.
